Magnifying Glass, What to do when Eyeglasses Just Aren’t Enough

As we age near vision becomes a problem for all eyes. There are visual corrections for this ranging from reading glasses, to bifocal or mutli focal glasses, even multi focal contact lenses. Often times if you need distance vision correction it is more prudent to correct your vision for the distance and then have additional help for near vision as needed. This is where a magnifying glass can come in handy.
You can find full sheet lighted magnifiers, pocket magnifying glasses, even electronic devices that double as a magnifying glass. A magnifying in it’s simplest form is a convex lens designed to be held up to an object and enlarge it’s details. The magnifying glass is not held at any fixed distance as every object has it’s own ideal focal distance. You often have to move the glass closer to then farther away from an item to determine where it is ideally viewed.
